Weekend story (made up)

Mark Ponirovsky is your normal everyday civilian. Mark was taking a shortcut through an alleyway around 5pm on a Sunday coming home after work in St Kilda as a taekwondo instructor. Mark heard the sound of scream shouting help from an alleyway. He knew all too soon someone was in trouble. Mark ran towards the sound of screams and sore a kid named Riley smith at knife point getting robbed and abused by two cowardly thugs.
Mark: I couldn’t just stand there and do nothing the police would have taken too long and well maybe it’s destiny I mean I’m a taekwondo instructor. Maybe I was meant to save that kid.
Riley: He just came out of know where and said ‘stop back off’ and one of them just ran towards him with a knife and he just laid out his moves it was so fast and quick. Then the other thug just dropped me and ran towards him and in a blink of an eye they were on the ground.
Constable Jerry White: We arrived about five minutes after the incident. I guess Mark did know what he was up against but he was a little over his head. Two men with knives, I understand he does this for a living and even though everything went right he was very lucky. It’s very important to think these situations through as it could mean your life.  Mark and Riley are now both safe and that is our main concern.
Both men have been arrested and police are now investigating the scene and looking at any possible links to this almost tragic day. Nearby CCTV cameras are being looked and reviewed at by Victorian police.
