On Tuesday
the 21st of August 2012 the year 9 Walsh boys from Christian
Brothers’ College St Kilda went to the Mitchell River National park in
Gippsland. The Mitchell River is south east of Melbourne and only a four hour
drive from Melbourne’s CBD. The
challenge was to survive the Mitchell River and they thrived at the challenge
and completed such a challenging and tricky task. There where major rapids
including the Amphitheatre but they all worked together using teamwork and that
was the way they survived. They also used this clever skill off the river at
setting up their camp site, cooking their own food, making there fire, pumping
and using there rafts and surviving the cold and frosty nights. This camp was
all in the name of survival and they did just that.
